For this project, AIT focuses on two main goals. Goal 1 will be to develop a reliable simulation tool that can be used for the design for innovative, safe & lightweight LH2 storage tanks for aviation. Goal 2 will leverage the models in order to better understand the physical phenomena at stake when experimental results will be available during the course of the project. AIT specialized in performing advancing simulation models and approaches for reliably predictions of the complex multi-phase and multi-physics phenomena (i.e., multi-phase-flows, phase-change, conjugate heat transfer, icing, combustion, sloshing) occurring in critical LH2 storage system components.
